I happily celebrated my birthday this week with a couple of my closest friends. We had an amazing time hanging out with each other and enjoying good music. Something that we all need to do a lot more of, especially with each other.

That was during the week though. Now that the weekend has arrived it’s time for the family to make the 3 hour drive from Medicine Hat to celebrate with me. I’m quite shocked actually. Last year it ended up being my parents and my last grandparent that stopped by. It was a quick visit and they had to be off before it got too dark on the roads. This year my brother will also be joining us and they plan on staying overnight.

It will be fun to see them again, even though my last visit back home was at the beginning of the summer this year. I’m looking forward to some good laughs (my brother is one funny F-er) and a nice dinner. Don’t ask me where we plan on eating because my grandma doesn’t like the Olive Garden (went there last year) and I’m not too keen on going to an overpriced restaurant just for the hell of it.

Another positive to this weekend is that I’ll finally be getting my new office desk, a storage cabinet for all my “important” business documents, and possibly a new chair as well.

Also, my NCAA football team is playing this weekend. Right now they have a 2-0 record and I’m looking forward to them changing that to a nice, round 3-0 record when they trounce Tennessee tonight. GO GATORS!!

The other two teams I cheer on are also playing so lets hope the Longhorns continue their streak and the Sooners can throw another number in the win column.

HB dude. I still got 12 days. :)

Have fun with the family, that’s what I’m doing.

Now that all the caos has subsided everything is getting back to normal. It was good times all around, even though my parents got lost on the way to my house. We ended up eating at Boston Pizza (yeah, yeah, boring I know, but I don’t care what you think ;^)

I am very thankful that I did get my new desk and storage cabinet. The chair was a bit expensive so no dice on that one. Doesn’t bother me though.

As well, the Gators won, the Longhorns won but unfortunately the Sooners just couldn’t pull it off. Hopefully the next game will be better.
