It has been four days since I started using the Vision for Life program to improve my exceptionally poor eyesight. So far there have been some ups and there has been not so ups.

Interestingly enough, the exercise I originally thought would be the toughest to master is quickly becoming the one I’m showing the most improvement on. It’s called the 3 cups exercise and it takes quite a bit of muscle control to accomplish the goal of the exercise.

Thus far I’ve seen some great strides of improvement in the 3 cups exercise and I’m far beyond where I thought I’d be given that it’s only been four days. I can also see some slight improvement in my distance vision but it’s still not much of an improvement, yet.

At this point I haven’t had the time to get a pair of lower prescription glasses so I can continually exercise my eyes which means I’m still wearing my contacts the majority of the day. I have noticed that it takes some adjustment to get used to wearing my contacts during the day. I have a feeling that once I get a pair of glasses the improvement in my vision will be much more rapid.

If you’ve had any experience with the Vision for Life program it would be great to hear. So far it’s been a little difficult to find others that have used the program and hear their experiences — other than the testimonials that is.

    Mike,

Thanks for the update. I’ve had lasik, but my left eye never made it fully to 20/20 closer to 20/25 I think. I walk every morning and some mornings I have a hard time making out the street signs from far away. If I do the 3 cups exercise first (they post this on their website), the signs are clearer. To me that is a good indication that there might be something to this program.

I can see the center circle in the 3 cups exercise, but I can’t yet make it happen without using a pen.

    Good luck!

Today was the first day I could do the 3 cups exercise without the pen. So it took me 3 days and about 10 minutes of trying it off of their website to get to this point. The cup isn’t completely in focus yet but at least I can see it ;^)

Part of the reason I went with this program is because it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than doing surgery. How was your recovery time with the Lasik?

so it was your bad eyesight and not my hosting that made ichat blurry. Cool!

    Hi Mike.

The evening after I had lasik my eyes felt really scratchy and I had to take an aspirin (and a glass of champagne!) and bed. My husband had no problems at all. The next morning I had perfect vision and no pain or scratchiness. A year after the surgery I think my vision settled in to about 20/20 one eye, 20/25 or so in the left but when they worked together they were 20/15, go figure. I haven’t been to the eye doc’s in a couple of years now but I’m pretty sure my vision has degraded just a bit, especially my left, but not enough to warrant glasses again. I have some halo’s when driving at night, but it improves the longer I drive. (I’ve heard the new technology they use reduces the chance of halos…)

I think Lasik is totally worth the investment. I had worn glasses/contacts since the 4th grade. HOWEVER, if I had know I could fix my vision without shooting lasers at my eyes, (and without the expense) I would have tried it in a heartbeat. I had heard of vision therapy from a coworker as far back as 18 years ago. But I just thought she was a little bit nuts.

The reason I am interested in this now is for my son. He had a free vision screening and the guy said he needed glasses. I didn’t get the exact figure (he couldn’t see the 4th row down on the eye chart) but I will next time. I’d like to use the summer to see if we can improve his eyesight before we get stuck in the glasses cycle.

I’ve taken a close look at the testimonials on their website and even ZabaSearched a few. Some of those people seem to really exist and I’ve been half tempted to call one or two, but don’t want to be a stalker ;-)

I did notice they have no complaints with the BBB. That is encouraging.

Thank you for sharing your results experience!

I didn’t know you had bad eye-sight at all! WTF man, you keep everything from me *sniff*.

  6. Mike Says:

@Keri: Thanks for the info Keri. I will keep posting my progress as time goes on and I intend to be completely honest with how it’s going.

@Colin: I haven’t told you that I wear contacts? I thought I did. Well, now you know I guess.

    Hi Mike,

I am a software Professional with very very poor eyesight. My case is of a complex myopia. I cant leave my job though it requires me to work 12 hrs on computer.
Lasik is quite unsure to be done because of very less corneal thickness. I want to start with ‘Vision For Life Program’. Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Modeatah

@Modeatah: I would say to give the program a shot. Now that I’ve stopped using the program for the last month and a half and began wearing my glasses longer I have noticed a decline in my vision. Feel free to use the link from my site to pick it up ;^)
