Thanks to Chris Tingom’s post about improving vision through eye exercises I’ve become quite interested in the topic. From all the comment’s on Chris’ post nobody had any real insight into how these programs work and their results.

I spent a couple days searching Google and reading up on the links mentioned. What I could gather from that was this:

  • seeclearlymethod.com is being sued by the government for falsifying claims
  • a couple of the links are just other websites advertising or criticizing the See Clearly method
  • Vision for Life seems to be the only alternative aside from using nutrients, supplements or surgery

Based on what I had found — and since I just closed my last bank loan — I ordered the Vision for Life program.

Now, whether you think I’m an idiot for buying into this sort of crap or not I don’t care. I’ve been wearing glasses or contacts since grade four and I’m pretty tired of doing so. If this program doesn’t work I’m not too worried because all it takes is 25 minutes a day. The money factor is canceled out by the 6 month, 100% money-back guarantee — which includes shipping costs.

So at the end of this little experiment I’m either going to have much improved vision and be able to get rid of my glasses/contacts or I’m going to be asking for a refund. Either way it seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Where am I now?

Ok, in order to measure my success I need to start with the current status of my vision. At this point I haven’t had a real eye exam in a couple years so these results may be a little off (read: a little worse) but my eyes are -4.25 in the left eye and -4.75 in the right.

When I’m not wearing corrective lenses I can see clearly about a foot in front of my face. Anything further than a foot away starts to get blurry. It’s pretty sad but it’s what I deal with.

Methods and progress

As I mentioned, the Vision for Life program only takes about 25 minutes a day. It changes the exercises and level of difficulty weekly so I’d like to report on my progress as I traverse the program.

Today was day one of this experiment and so far I know this:

  • my vision is horrible
  • I need to get some glasses instead of relying on my contacts during the day
  • some of the exercises are hard and I look forward to the challenge

    Hi Mike.

I am considering Vision For Life for my son who is probably going to need glasses soon. I thought I’d try this throughout the summer and see if it helps. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

    Good luck!
    Keri

Hi Keri, I will absolutely keep everyone up to date on how things are going. So far some of the exercises are fairly difficult but that’s to be expected with my current vision.

How did the program end up working for you?

  8. Mike Says:

Lee, for the amount of time I dedicated to using the techniques described I could definitely see an improvement.

It’s been a while since I’ve used the exercises due to various reasons but I’m looking forward to getting back into it and relaying my experiences again.
