It’s finally final, I’ve made all the arrangements I need to make for my inaugural trip to SXSW. After checking around just some of the myriad of travel sites out there I settled on a deal to fly with Continental for less than $300. Everything else is looking good and I’m crossing my fingers that this will be a smooth trip.

After chatting and Twittering about making the trip with Scott Boms—designer and developer extraordinaire, and drummer for The Darns—he’s decided to make the journey as well. Scott and I are kind of in the acquaintance borderline friend realm and I’m really looking forward to pushing that much further into the rel="friend met"—much better friend for the nongeeks—territory. Oh yeah, and his birthday is during the SXSW festival too!

Bowling at SXSW

I decided to sign myself up for the Avalonstar bowling tournament. When I initially signed up I didn’t have any team that I made arrangements to join. Obviously there were some that I wanted to join so I just made a list, hoping someone would see it and draft me. Well, it looks like I’ve been drafted by Team Canada and bowling with a good bunch of people, none of which I’ve met but they are Canadian so they’re great. :^)
