Yay! It rained

While most of you will probably think that rain isn’t such a good thing let me explain why it is. See, I live in Calgary. It’s cold here in the winter and, in case you don’t remember, I don’t like the cold very much.
What does that have to do with rain? Well, it’s elementary (haha) my dear. If it is raining it means that the weather is warmer than the freezing point of water, otherwise it would be snowing. The other reason for enjoying the rain is that it signifies spring. As soon as the first rain starts to hit it becomes very unlikely that snow will arrive — although in Calgary we always prepare for a May dump, just in case.
One final reason why rain is good, free car washes. Ok, that one is a stretch but go with me here. Sure the rain dries leaving spots on your car, and then there’s the mud created by rain water and dirt but if you don’t drive through the mud the spots definitely won’t hurt you.
Ah well, at least I’m happy. That’s all that really matters, isn’t it?

Greetings from Dallas, Texas where you might find August a bit stifling. But if you don’t like cold we’re the place to be. I guess there’s a reason why pro hockey players love it here. Year round golf and stuff. But sometimes with our rain we get tornados.

I’ve heard that about Texas. My dad is in that area on business right now and he’s been bragging about the temperature. I’d rather be hot than cold. Besides, tornado season is shorter than winter, right?
