Quick Poll: LA or Austin?

Ok, so I’ve been thinking of a lot of things as of late, some hypothetical some actual. If you absolutely had to choose, where would you prefer to be (and I’m not just talking about during SXSW for those going)?
- Austin, Texas
- Los Angeles, California

I hear LA is ugly and Austin is too hot.

I’m still voting for Portland :)
LA is a crap town to live in, OK to visit, but not somewhere to set up roots. Never been to Austin so I can’t comment there.

Josue: I’ve only been to LA and that was only when I was 12 to go to DisneyLand
Zach: Interesting. Why do you find neither option very good?

I’m not the person to ask, but I just would never live in Texas because not only is it just an extremely different culture than I’m accustomed to in the northwest, but it’s in the middle of the US. I would prefer to live by the coast. I dunno, LA may be horrible, but again, I have absolutely no idea but if I had to choose I would never move to texas. LA would have to be pretty bad for me to move away from the coast.

LA is what you make of it, is all i have to say. But so is any city/metro area.
Austin is up and coming, but it’s no LA.
LA area is vast and millions of jobs. the coast, a wide range of metro areas for living, beach-huts, high-rises, street markets, oh, yeah, and jobs. did i say jobs?
Hell. I’m in LA. so i pick LA. Perhaps I’ll visit SXSW next year and will be able to make a better judgement for you then, though. :)
