Feeds are Finally Fixed
February 25th, 2007
Seems there was a problem with some of my feeds since I switched from Feedburner to the BirdFeeder Pepper for Mint.
When I installed Mint 2 a couple weeks ago I didn’t really look at the instructions for installing BirdFeeder because there was already a Wordpress plugin that was suppose to take care of all of that. I immediately installed the plugin and removed everything related to tracking me feed info through FeedBurner (sorry Steve ;^) ). I thought all was well and left it at that. Little did I know.
After repeatedly checking my stats, something I’m prone to do, it seemed that either nobody subscribed to my feed—which would be in direct opposition of the stats I did get from FeedBurner—or something was wrong. My next step was to look into how BirdFeeder is installed.
Once I read the instructions on how to install the Pepper and checked the Mint forums, there didn’t seem to be any reason why it wasn’t working for me. As much as I didn’t want to modify the Wordpress files It seems that it became a necessity. So, after spending five minutes adding the appropriate code to the feed files everything is working as it should.
Sorry about the inconvenience folks, hopefully you’ll all come back but if not, I understand—and that’s too bad for you ;^)

No problem. Kind of important when one has a blog to keep the feeds working ;^)
