Well, there is some great progress being made on the apartment this week. The previous tenants have been out for about a week and whatever stuff they have left in the apartment will be put on the porch at the end of the day (if they don’t pick it up).

Last night I went down and helped the landlords rip up the nasty, old carpet. To our surprise there were hardwood floors under the carpet. Unfortunately, due to the utter lack of care and attention to cleanliness by the previous tenants, it would be much more work to fix the floors than to jst have new carpet installed.

I’ve also called all the utility companies and set up accounts with them. Now when I move in this weekend at least I’ll have heat, water, power and cable - furniture is a completely different story though.

Slow and steady wins the race right? I’ll post some pics of the floor a little later.
