Favorite TV shows

January 12th, 2006

After reading about Dave’s, Jen’s, and Scott’s fav TV shows I thought I would join in the fun. Below is a list of my top 10 TV shows.

  • CSI – the original
  • Law and Order – any will do
  • 24 – even though I only watch it on DVD and I’m always a season behind
  • Arrested Development – as long as it’s on the air and on DVD
  • Scrubs
  • LOST
  • The OC
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender – my fav cartoon on Saturday mornings
  • My Name is Earl – I am definitely not happy now that the moved it to the same time as CSI (good thing I have a couple east coast channels)
  • Magnum PI

I’m going to modify the list a little bit and throw in a couple shows that I’m interested in watching/buying/picking up

  • The Shield
  • Three’s Company – I used to watch this and I’m in the process of buying it on DVD
  • Seinfeld – loved it when it was on TV and have the first three seasons on DVD, it just didn’t make my list
  • Dead Like Me
  • Deadwood – probably interests me the most but I couldn’t justify paying $90 for season one on boxing day

Well, what do you like to watch? What would you only buy on DVD?

I definitely recommend picking up Firefly and Veronica Mars on DVD. Seem like shows you’d like.

I’ve watched Firefly and I have to say that I really dig that show. Of course the main reason I wanted to watch it was so that I could watch Serenity. The show was totally kick ass though.

As far as Veronica Mars goes, I’ve been wrestling with whether to buy it or not. I’ve heard many, many good things about it. Guess I’ll have to add it to my list

Deadwood kicks all ass. I have the privilege of being married to a Blockbuster manager, so I was able to get them to watch the first season. Definitely a very good show.

Can’t wait for the next season to be released.

Good thing my cell phone bill is much lower than expected this month. I might have to make a trip to Best Buy in the near future based on these sorts of recommendations.

    Here is my list:

    Lost- definately my #1 pick

24-There were a few episodes on last week so I decided to see what it’s all about, and I really liked the few episodes I saw, so I want to catch up on that.

Deadwood- We watched them, Colin loved it, definately not my favorite.

    Sopranos- ALL OF THEM!

Alias- I’ve been wanting to pick them up.

Scrubs- Another one on my to-watch list.

West Wing- I am soooo not a fan. COLIN IS OBSESSED WITH THIS SHOW!

    The Office- hilarious

The OC- Would love to watch these too. If only Blockbuster would get them in!

I am sure there are more I would like to see, but I can’t think of them…

Well my list is alot like everyone else’s

#1 Lost: it is like an obesession with me
#2 24: been hooked since the first episode
#3 OC: its my guilty pleasure
#4 Grey’s Anatomy: love all of them
#5 West Wing: more a fan of the older seasons but still pretty hooked
#6 InJustice: brand new and I think everyone should watch at least once

As you can tell I am not big into comedies, I am more of a drama girl…I will watch reruns of Yes Dear and Friends but thats about it
