The Diet: Week 2 weigh in

Well, I’m going to keep this short because I’m not impressed at all with myself. For the most part week two went very well, I was managing my food intake and had started doing exercise. Unfortunately the weekend changed everything.

On Saturday it was a friends birthday and the festivities were held on a rooftop patio at one of the local bars. It was a supper gathering and I even chose to have a salad with Italian dressing as the side dish. It all went down hill when someone else ordered nachos — which arrived before my food — and another person ordered some potato slammers — which also arrived before my food, both by about 10 minutes.


So, of course I couldn’t help myself. I had some nachos. Then I had some slammers. Then I had some calamari. After that I had my meal. Then some other nachos followed by cake. I do believe that pretty much negated any weight loss I may have had for the week. As far as Sunday goes, I didn’t eat anything but I sure did drink entirely way too much.

So, all that being said, here are the dismal stats.

  • Weight: 183.0lbs
  • Belly inches: 37″
  • BMI (according to halls.md): 26.3kg/m2

That’s a total of zero lbs lost, zero inches lost and 0 kg/m2 of fat lost in the second week. I’m off to bury my head in the sand now.

    Awwwww Mike, don’t be too hard on yourself.
    Things like that happen.
    I am dreading next month because that’s when my family comes into town for my nephew’s wedding. And you know what that means. LOTS of FOOD!
    So I’m gonna have to be really strong and control what I eat.

    But hey, that was just this week. Next week will be better right?

    Take it easy Mike, I would do the same if I was in your place, I prefer not to go than going to a party and don’t eat from the cake :) not to mention the rest..

    Anyways it’s great that you didn’t gain any weight instead, cheer up and get prepared for week 3.. Cheers.
