Hi Mike!
“Age: I can lie about it from now on but really I don’t care”
I like that one - he he he.
I’m glad people are posting pics. It’s going to be great to see the befores with the afters.
Goog luck with your goal!

Thanks guys. With all of us motivating each other we’re definitely going to be reaching our respective goals. Good luck to both of you as well.

You are braver than I. Maybe I will post the “before & after” pictures when I’m finished loosing all of the weight, but for now they stay filed under “personal” photos on flickr :)

Kristin, for me posting pics is not about bravery, it’s about being able to follow my progress and motivation. The more I keep looking at that gut the more I want to get rid of it.
That and the fact that I’ve decided I don’t care if people want to point and laugh or not. If they do good for them, let’s see if they post a pic and what kind of reactions they get ;^)
If you’re comfortable posting before and after pics when you’ve reached your goal fantastic. If not, it will still be enough just to know that you reached your goal and you’re happy.
Keep up the good work kids. :^)

Mike, Hi!
I’ve joined the list too.
I think you are totally right in what you say is the reason you are posting your pics. I guess for me at least, it’s embarassment.
More of myself. Like, “OMG, how could I have let myself gain so much weight???” But yeah, you are totally right when you say seeing it will keep you more motivated to lose it. I really want to do it but eh… I just can’t bring myself to. LOL
I will though. Someday. haha I’m posting my measurements instead.
I think your weight goal is pretty good.
For your height though, I don’t think it’s too bad.
Just gotta turn that jelly into muscle and tone it up a bit!
For me it’s not really about the weight. It’s more about being toned and having muscle ya know?
If I was toned, with muscle and weight what I weigh now, NO big deal! But most of it it’s fat and mooshy. LOL That’s a problem. And I gotta change it!
And I am! *hehe*
Good Luck with your Goals. You can do it!

Hey Ana, I’ve been following your posts on your blog as well. You’re absolutely right about the jelly but I’d rather have it not there. Going for those washboard abs so I can see if they’re as great as people say they are.
After I’ve gotten rid of the jelly I’ll think about gaining some muscle mass but that would entail joining a gym. Maybe I’ll do that when I’m debt free — my number one goal for this year.

[...] One decision I’ve yet to make is on the posting of pictures. You can see my before picture here but I’m not sure if I’m going to put progress photos up on a monthly schedule or just have one photo before and one after I reach my goal. [...]
