After not working out for several months I forgot how hard it is. It could go without saying but I’m going to say it anyway, the first week absolutely kicked my ass! The sensation of feeling muscles I forgot I have took some getting used to, but I’m starting to like it.

Now that the actual working out part is getting a little easier — the weight isn’t easy, just the decision to go to the gym is — the big hurdle seems to be waking up on time. With an hour long commute to work, and my preference of working out in the morning, it’s important for me to get up early and give myself enough time to workout, shower, eat, and get to work. Given all that my goal is to get up around 6:15am. After two weeks of setting the alarm for that time it’s still a challenge every day. This is something I need to work on. I feel like crap.

Yup, I really do. As a friend of mine used to say, I feel like 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag. I could list a bunch of reasons for why this is but I’m not going to. Breaking it down, the only excuse I have is that I’m a lazy procrastinator. Each and every reason I could have listed boils down to that one, simple fact. I want to change that. I’m moving, again

Yes, it is in fact true, I will be moving again next week. At least this time it will be a short move and not nearly stressful or hectic as previous moves. I’ll be taking leave of my current apartment in San Mateo for the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. Most of the people, whom I now call friends, that I interviewed with before moving out here, kept telling me that the city is where I should be. Now that I’m in California, I need to look for a permanent place to live. For now a good friend has allowed me to disrupt his life for a couple weeks until I can find said place.
