Week one is officially over. It’s a little tough to imagine but this week seemed to take a lot longer than I thought. My anticipation of getting out the scale has been very high for the last few days. I had to constantly remind myself what day it really was and put the scale back — I promised myself I would only check my weight on the weekly weigh ins.

One decision I’ve yet to make is on the posting of pictures. You can see my before picture here but I’m not sure if I’m going to put progress photos up on a monthly schedule or just have one photo before and one after I reach my goal.

We’re still in the first week of our grand “community diet” experiment — that’s such a harsh sounding word but it seems to fit — and the response has been fantastic. A lot of amazing people have joined the list and, at the time of this writing, there are about 70+. What started out as a little challenge between three friends has exploded beyond my wildest imagination.

Since we’re at roughly the mid-point of the first week I thought it might be a good time to talk about how I’m going to lose my excess weight and turn that healthy corner. A great majority of people seem following Colin’s method by watching and counting their caloric intake while increasing the amount of exercise they do weekly if not daily.

It has been four days since I started using the Vision for Life program to improve my exceptionally poor eyesight. So far there have been some ups and there has been not so ups.

Interestingly enough, the exercise I originally thought would be the toughest to master is quickly becoming the one I’m showing the most improvement on. It’s called the 3 cups exercise and it takes quite a bit of muscle control to accomplish the goal of the exercise.
