How do you like to get paid

When you’re working, would you rather get paid $500 every week or $1,000 every two weeks? Not really sure why I’m asking this question but it’s mostly just out of curiosity.
This has been peaking my interest as of late. Getting $500 each week would definitely be beneficial to the budget conscious mind and make weekly shopping much easier to manage. On the other hand, it’s always great getting a fat $1,000 check every other week isn’t it.
If any, I’m wondering what the benefits to getting paid weekly vs. bi-monthly are. Maybe I’ll ask the beancounter blog and see what he’s got to say. In the meantime, what’s your preference? Do you know of or see any benefits of one over the other?
