Curious about what the ladies are thinking?
October 27th, 2005
Well, there is no need to be curious any more. I recently was pointed to a fantastically written and down right hilarious website/blog called girlspoke.
Girlspoke is written by several women across North American and Europe, there’s even a Canadian (hey Tessa, give me a call ;^) No topic is taboo and no avenue is left unturned when these ladies start talking. Speaking of talking, and yes that sounds weird to me too, be sure to check out the first girlspoke DrunkCastâ„¢. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is just the first of many.
FlickIt widget is now donation-ware
October 21st, 2005
Although FlickIt was one of the few widgets you actually had to pay for, weighing it at $5, it has been very well received. Developed by Chance Cube, FlickIt is a dashboard widget for Mac OS X Tiger that allows you to connect to Flickr, a photo sharing service created by Ludicorp before they were purchased by Yahoo! earlier this year.
FlickIt lets you search Flickr for usernames or tags and displays thumbnails of all results based on your search. That’s not all though, you can also view and get links to the actual photos — all sizes — in case you’d like to place a link or include that photo in your blog or anywhere online — or just about any document for that matter. FlickIt is definitely a widget worthy of a price tag.
As posted on ChanceCube.com FlickIt is donation-ware. What does that mean? Well, it means you can download FlickIt 2.5 for free and use it as much as you want. If you really enjoy using FlickIt, you can donate a couple bucks to allow Colin to continue supporting and developing a wonderful widget.
I hate the weather in Calgary right now
October 20th, 2005
Well, it’s finally happened. It is officially snowing and I’m officially depressed. I’ve mentioned before how much I dislike winter, especially when it comes earlier than Christmas.
If there are any single American girls that would like to get married and move to Texas, Arizona, California, Georgia, Florida, even Louisiana send me an email and lets get this going. Obviously time is a factor but I’m still looking for a quality girl with a great sense of humor. As if that wasn’t obvious from the fact that I’m asking her to marry me on a freakin’ blog — you’ve got to be somewhat wacky to accept that.
I’m famous

Well, maybe not as famous as you would expect but I did get a nice little mention on a SheKnowsBest. Stop by this page to see.
New TUG.n
October 15th, 2005
Yes, it’s finally happened, theÜberGeeks.net has finally been redesigned. It’s been in the works for way too long but now is the time.
What’s new?
First of all, we got rid of the comments. It’s definitely a bold move for a blog but we did it. Bask in our confidence.
Obviously the design and colour palette has changed. We wanted a cleaner, easier to use, pared down site so we could focus on getting out some good content and some wicked new features. What are these features I keep talking about? Well, keep checking theÜberGeeks.net because we’re working adding features daily over the next little while.
We’ve also added a featured category for the more promenant posts whereas the less significant posts will simply show up in a list below our featured articles.
Oldies but goodies
We didn’t get too crazy though, we still have RSS feeds and all the familiar categories such as movies, music, Apple, applications, Song of the Week, TV, CSS, blogs, and web development — everything a geek could want.
Check it out and let us know what you think.
